Q. Are you looking for principal characters or minor characters? 

The Open Casting Call is currently for the Year 11 class which will be a mixture of principal parts and minor roles. Until the Casting Call has ended and we have looked at everyone we won’t be able to make any decisions.

Q. I am 15 years old but will be 16 years old in Spring 2019 - can I apply?

If you are 16 years old before April 30th 2019 then you can apply for the Casting Call.

Q. Will you be casting for other characters and younger cast? 

Eventually we will be casting for the entire film. At some point we will need an entire school, so at some stage there will be a need for younger extras. At this moment in time we are not currently casting for any other roles or extras.

Q. If you are cast, will you be paid?

These will be paid roles yes.

Q. If I’ve sent you my video via social media do I still need to submit via the website?

Yes, the casting team will not be looking at videos sent via social media. All videos and applications must be submitted via this website: www.jamiefilmcasting.com

Q. When will the film be released?

The release date for the film is not yet confirmed.

Q. Can I apply if I'm not from Sheffield? 

We are focussing our initial search on Sheffield and the surrounding areas (Doncaster, Rotherham, Leeds, Nottingham, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Chesterfield, Workshop, Newark-on-Trent, Mansfield). If you feel you can confidently perform with a Sheffield accent you are more than welcome to submit. We may watch tapes from further afield later down the line in the casting process. 

Q. Can duos audition?

At this stage we would prefer to see tapes of individuals.
